PostgreSQL policies enforce tenant isolation in the database itself — not just in the interface.
Permissions are granted through roles, so a librarian sees the library and a bursar sees finance.

Records use non-sequential identifiers that can't be guessed or enumerated.
Guardian contacts, discipline cases and payment references are limited to the roles that need them.
Payments carry transaction references and receipt numbers, and balances are derived from the ledger.
Students and staff move between statuses — transferred, graduated, inactive — instead of disappearing.
